Gardens of the World is an annual fund-raising event for the State Botanical Gardens of Georgia with a rotating theme. The art shown here was based upon China’s Forbidden City. In creating this unique invitation, it was important to meet the needs of the client while remaining sensitive to Chinese culture through the art, color and theme. I worked with a Chinese artist to create the unique art on the invitation. The theme of the four seasons was chosen, combined with traditional characters and poetry, and presented in the form a traditional shoji screen.
